Pamela and I feel that it is important for anyone who has a loved ones ashes to be able to memorialize with dignity.  Individually expressing through artistic creation the last gift of love.

Although we are in Florida, our perspective is that we want you to have the “right” memorial. Wherever your family may be.

This is an awesome team at GMG. It is not for just anyone. We require real visionaries. Who can create the ethereal and boundless heavens in glass!

When a family is arranging for a loved one who has recently passed.

Just as some may need to arrange for a casket or plot. In cremation choices come down to final disposition.

The problem is limited choice.

Urns, Memorial plaques, Cemetery benches, markers, etc. We have watched while internet companies have popped up to compete with us and yet we feel that we have always offered a superior choice.

Always one of a kind, always unique.

The problem that our choice solves for many is the personal physical and visual memorial connection. Another unique aspect is that a small amount of ashes are used for the art piece.

Usually about 1 tsp. per 4″ memorial.

This provides the family with the very option that we chose when considering our Mothers memorials. Each child ordered their choice of memorial glass and the appropriate amount of ashes were separated and sent on to the artist.

How many people need memorials?

Families with ashes at home.

This family collected their loved ones cremation ashes from the funeral home/crematory, and a decision of disposition has not yet been made.

Families who will scatter the ashes

Many times families feel that when honoring a loved ones wish to be scattered, they are left without a remembrance.

Families who choose a cemetery option

Many families choose to have the cremation ashes interred at the family cemetery.  Either in a Burial or columbarium vault (the new trend is a columbarium with a glass front).  We have created beautiful urn designs, which far surpass the traditional.

 The Pet Owner.

Cremation of pets has been for years an alternative for the owner. This offers the pet lover an option of memorialization.

There is a need for cremation memorials

According to the studies by the CANA Cremation Association of North America. Special report 1996-97,

35.8% (176,291) of all cremations in North America were taken home.

23.1% (113,839) were buried.

That is a total of 58.9%.

Only 17% were scattered on water/land.

 10% placed in columbarium’s.

 6.2% scattered on dedicated property.

 5.7% not picked up.

And only 1% placed in a common grave.

How that translates to us is; that in the case of 66% of all cremations the family has no real dignified option for memorialization.  Then we consider the 23.2% of those families who chose to scatter…do they have a memorial at all?

This study is a decade old…how many more families are in need today?

We also noted that according to the latest findings, the percentage of cremations for Florida in 2004 was 80,729 or 47.79% of all deaths, placing Florida second in the nation. This is a world wide trend.

Customer Satisfaction.According to the Florida Environmental Protection Agency, the State Health Departments including Bio Medical Waste and the Department of Funerals and Cemetery regulation. The importance of record keeping, tracking and signed release of the cremation ashes from the family for use in the creation of memorials is monumental and foremost.

The ashes used in the glass take on a “sparkle” much like a star. It is completely noticeable. We will document the travels of the cremation ashes. All of our customers will sign a release allowing us to use the cremation ashes in the creation of their memorials.

Finally, as to how this is accepted by the public. We have been so blessed to be able to extend our service to families!  We have watched as a mother, a wife, a husband, son, sister, brother or grandparent receive their memorial.  As the tears of joy which sometimes overwhelm them fall down a cheek.  When they embrace us with a warm thank you, and sigh with relief .  We are blessed!

In the end, we provide ethics, and trust. Most of all compassion and respect! With an established reputation for security and quality.
